Empowering Students with Learning Differences Since 1976

For 40 years, Woodlynde School has been the Philadelphia region's leading co-ed, K-12 college prep school for students with:
  • Language- or math-based learning differences
  • Executive Function Challenges
  • ADHD
  • Auditory Processing Disorder
  • A need for a small classroom environment

Traditionally, 100% of Woodlynde seniors are accepted to college. During their time at Woodlynde, students GAIN access to our caring experts in education, THRIVE in our nurturing environment, BENEFIT from our specialized teaching methods and strategies, RISE to the challenge of our college prep curriculum, and EMERGE with the tools and self-confidence to be successful in college, career, and life.

Our Teachers & Specialists

Woodlynde and its caring teachers, learning specialists, and counselors are recognized leaders in whole-child development in which students are engaged and immersed in their own learning process. Woodlynde teachers truly care about their students as learners and people, and they actively collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and divisions to create and maintain a learning profile for each student that ensures their instruction meets each student's current and evolving needs.

Professional Development Opportunities

As one of a select few private schools in the country that are a Wilson® Accredited Partner, Woodlynde School offers professional learning courses that include the Wilson Reading System® (WRS) Introductory Course, Wilson Reading System® Level I Certification and Just Words® Workshop. Lectures & Panel Discussions

Through The Literacy Institute, Woodlynde actively engages national and international experts in the field of learning differences to share their knowledge and advice with the Woodlynde community and the regional community at large. As a Wilson® Accredited Training Partner, The Literacy Institute at Woodlynde School offers professional learning for educators that include Wilson Reading System® certification courses.
Woodlynde School is a private, co-ed college prep day school located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that serves intelligent, talented students with learning differences in grades K - 12. Woodlynde provides a comprehensive, evidence-based Kindergartenelementarymiddle and high school program in a challenging yet nurturing environment for students with average to above average cognitive abilities (IQ) who have language- or math-based learning differences (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia), Executive Function Challenges, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Auditory Processing Disorder. Even for those students without a diagnosed learning disability (LD), Woodlynde offers expert and caring teachers in small classroom settings that support academic success. Woodlynde School also offers a post-graduate (PG) program in partnership with Rosemont College as well as a regional Summer Camp for students who learn differently.
