FOUNDATIONS & Lower School Clubs

Below are examples of L.E.A.D. Socials, Day Trips, and Clubs that may be offered. Clubs are subject to change from year to year.

  • Board Game Club

    It’s game time! Come have fun playing board games like Trouble, Sorry, and Chutes and Ladders.  We will work on following rules, having good sportsmanship, working with teams and partners, along with enjoying ourselves! 
  • Cub Scouts

    Pack 40 offers students in kindergarten through fifth grade the opportunity to take part in cub scouts with other Woodlynde students. We meet on Tuesdays after school every other week as well as occasional weekend family excursions. Our pack involves a focus on STEM activities as well service and outdoor and scouting skills (camping, hikes, nature center visits).
  • Movers & Shakers Club

    The before-school Movers & Shakers Club ensures kids start the day in an active and healthy way with a morning full of songs, dancing, and fun movement.
  • Nellie's Schoolhouse

    Nellie’s Schoolhouse is an organization dedicated to creating and maintaining ongoing relationships between children and well-behaved dogs. Nellie's Schoolhouse travels to Woodlynde and gives our FOUNDATIONS and Lower School students an opportunity to interact and create positive relationships with these dogs. 
  • LEGO Club

    LEGO bricks introduce children to the world of science, technology, engineering, and math.
  • Soccer Shots

    Soccer Shots provides a safe and enjoyable environment for students to experience supervised soccer play and an athletic session that focuses on sportsmanship. 
  • Hair Bow Club

    Students learn to create hair bows and stimulate an interest and love for creativity.
  • Free-Play Soccer Club

    Learn new soccer techniques from YSC Academy Athletes while having fun.
  • Cooking Club

    Students learn recipes for healthy and creative treats they can make at home.
  • Science Explorers Club

    Students learn science magic, such as how to make an egg sink or float on command, create invisible ink, and make water disappear! (Experiments may vary.)

Woodlynde School is a private, co-ed college prep day school located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that serves intelligent, talented students with learning differences in grades K - 12. Woodlynde provides a comprehensive, evidence-based Kindergartenelementarymiddle and high school program in a challenging yet nurturing environment for students with average to above average cognitive abilities (IQ) who have language- or math-based learning differences (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia), Executive Function Challenges, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Auditory Processing Disorder. Even for those students without a diagnosed learning disability (LD), Woodlynde offers expert and caring teachers in small classroom settings that support academic success. Woodlynde School also offers a post-graduate (PG) program in partnership with Rosemont College as well as a regional Summer Camp for students who learn differently.
