Woodlynde School is governed by a committed Board of Directors who offer their talents and implement their vision to ensure that the Woodlynde School will continue in its tradition of excellence in education. The by-laws allow for up to 25 contributing members of the board. Currently there are 19 contributing members or the board, with one emeritus member, all of who serve without compensation. Jane Mullany is currently serving as the Chair of the Board.

Jane Mullany, Chair, has served the school in various capacities over the last 10 years, including President and Treasurer of the Parent Community. A board member since 2001, Jane is a current Woodlynde parent. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Philadelphia Foundation.

George Connell, Jr. is a Senior Vice President at the Bryn Mawr Trust Company and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst. He holds degrees in Economics and English from Dennison University.

Matt Frederick graduated from Woodlynde in 1989. He is currently a commercial real estate broker with PernaFrederick Commercial Real Estate, in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Drew University.

Stephen Gutsche is the Senior Market Research Analyst at Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Woodlynde School and holds a degree in Political Science from Wittenberg College and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.

Randie Harmelin is a former Woodlynde parent and a reading specialist. She has served in various capacities during her 14 year association with Woodlynde.

Gordon Hughes is a former Woodlynde parent and a board member since 1976. A retired pharmaceutical chemist, he was integral to the school's early growth and continues to be an active and esteemed member.

Connie Katz is a former Woodlynde parent and school psychologist. She has been a board member since 2003.

Barbara Renninger is a current Woodlynde parent and active member of the Parent Community. Since joining the board in 2005, her financial expertise and experience with independent schools have been a great resource. She serves as Chair of the Finance Committee of Board.

Hank Resch, Jr. is an attorney at the firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin in Philadelphia. A former teacher and coach at the William Penn Charter School, he has been a board member since 2005.

Chuck Riter is a former Woodlynde parent and longtime active member of the Woodlynde community. He is employed at NCO Financial Company, Inc. He joined the board in 2005.

Gerald B. Rorer is a former Woodlynde parent and board member since 1990. He is currently a real estate investor and is the former vice president of the Rorer Group, Inc.

Michael J. Rudolph is an equity analyst for Gardner Lewis Asset Management and has been a board member since 2003.

Bill Rulon-Miller is a former Woodlynde parent who joined the board in 2007. He is the Senior Vice President of Investment Banking at Janney Montgomery Scott, Inc., and holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University.

Craig J. Sabatino is the co-founder of INTECH Construction, Inc. of Philadelphia. Mr. Sabatino holds degrees in Business Management and Construction Management from Gettysburg College and Drexel University, respectively.

Harriet Samitz is a former Woodlynde parent and a board member since 1996. She served as president of the Woodlynde Community for 2 years and was a teacher in the Philadelphia School District for 19 years.

Mike Trudgeon has been a Woodlynde board member since 1994. President of Reliable Companies, he is a current Woodlynde parent.

Carol Udvarhelyi is a current Woodlynde parent and Treasurer of the Woodlynde Community. She is on the Property Committee of the Board of Directors.

Karl T. Weger has been a Woodlynde board member since 2001. A partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Philadelphia, he is Vice-Chair of the Board.

Therese Woodman joined the board in 2007. She currently serves as Township Manager for East Whiteland Township. Mrs. Woodman serves on the Boards for the Upper Main Line Senior Center and U.S. Rt. 202 Executive Board. She holds a degree in geography from West Chester University.

David Montgomery, Emeritus, served as Chair of Woodlynde’s Board of Directors from 1985-1993. He is currently President of the Philadelphia Phillies. Dave’s vision of the school has been key in developing Woodlynde’s long-range plan.
