Murray Scholarship

The Murray Scholarship Fund was established in February, 1995 to honor Hench Murray, who served Woodlynde School as Headmaster from July 1, 1981 to June 30, 1995. Under Hench's leadership, Woodlynde grew from a small, struggling operation to a vibrant school which has gained a reputation in the Delaware Valley for its ability to assist helping children learn how to be successful students.

Each academic year, a student entering 9th grade is selected as a Murray scholar based upon demonstrated effort in academic and extracurricular activities, kindness to others and financial need. The scholarship is renewable yearly, and if requirements of academic and extracurricular interests are met, will be maintained through the entirety of high school.
