For Summer 2013, Woodlynde's Lower School Summer Camp offers a four-week program with the theme: “Adventures in the Far East.” The program begins on June 24 and runs through July 19 and is geared to students in grades K-5 who want to develop or reinforce strategic skills.
The morning program emphasizes direct instruction by our highly trained teachers in reading (including Wilson Reading® for decoding and encoding), writing, mathematics, and study skills. Students who attend the academic program may also participate in our camp program that includes swimming, games, field trips, arts and crafts, and sports.
Woodlynde's Middle School Summer Program also begins on June 24 and runs through July 19. In addition to age-appropriate strategic instruction in reading (including Wilson Just Words®, Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing®, and reading fluency), writing, and mathematics, Middle School students can learn technology tools for research projects--providing them with the 21st century skills they will need in high school and beyond. An optional afternoon program offers electives such as fashion design, karate, sports and games, computer activities, crafts, and swimming.
If you need supervision for your child after 3:00 p.m., please contact us and we will do our best to match you with a teacher or counselor for after-camp care.
