Commencement 2009 - Congratulations Graduates!

The accomplishments of the graduating seniors were acknowledged with celebration and genuine pride. Spirits were high and the sense of community was strong. Three seniors, selected by the faculty, spoke and they shared some part of their Woodlynde story - and each one conveyed a sense of pride in their accomplishments and confidence that they were ready to accept the challenges of college and beyond. English Department Head, Ginny Byrne, had been chosen by the graduating class as their speaker for the occasion. Mrs. Byrne encouraged the Class to pursue joy, - not just happiness, but the deeper, richer experience of joy found in an occupation, a relationship, life experiences and especially in learning.
