Middle School Learning Specialist

Assistant Director of Advancement
Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Assistant Director is responsible for the strategies and execution of the annual and restricted fund programs, including appeal text, schedule, and production of communications; development of special project materials, grants, and proposals; support of volunteer, cultivation, and stewardship activities; administrative oversight of the major gifts program including prospect research, qualification, cultivation, and stewardship; and working with the Advancement Assistant to generate reports for the Director, Business Office, and Trustees.

Candidates must have 4-5 years of professional development experience with demonstrated success; exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to prioritize, organize, and execute on deadline multiple projects at various stages of development in a fast-paced environment.  Additional required attributes include accuracy, attention to detail, creativity and problem solving, adherence to guidelines and metrics to tract effectiveness, and mission-driven energy and enthusiasm.  B.A. and advanced knowledge of Raisers Edge required.  Experience working in an educational environment preferred.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Comprehensive benefits offered.  Email a full cover letter, resume, and salary requirements to Lisa Ketcham, Director of Advancement, at ketcham@woodlynde.org.  No phone inquiries accepted.

Woodlynde School is a private, co-ed college prep day school located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that serves intelligent, talented students with learning differences in Grades K - 12. Woodlynde provides a comprehensive, evidence-based Kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school program in a challenging yet nurturing environment for students with average to above average cognitive abilities (IQ) who have language-or math-based learning differences (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia), Executive Function Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Auditory Processing Disorder. Even for those students without a diagnosed learning disability (LD), Woodlynde offers expert and caring teachers in small classroom settings that support academic success. Woodlynde School also offers a post-graduate (PG) program in partnership with Rosemont College as well as a regional Summer Camp for students who learn differently.
