Parent Community Association

We are so thrilled that the Parent Community Association (PCA) is being led during the 2018-2019 school year by dynamic Co-Presidents Schuy Nunn P'19 and Dawn Ryan P'20. They continuously plan and host wonderful parent, family, and faculty/staff engagement and fun!
You will find a wide array of PCA activities for which you can volunteer, attend, or both!  Signature PCA events include:

  • PCA Assembly Coffees

    Where parents and guardians can watch for themselves how our students begin each day, followed by coffee and conversation with parent friends, old and new.
  • PCA Woodlynde on the Move

    Once a month, parents and guardians of all walking paces join together to walk, converse, and enjoy coffee. 
  • PCA Speaker Series

    An array of experts present throughout the year to provide helpful tips and tricks on different areas of parent interest.
  • PCA Big Guy Breakfast

    Big Guys (or gals) are welcome to join their Woodlynde students for a delicious breakfast buffet at Woodlynde and then attend Morning Assembly.
  • PCA Mornings with Mom

    Moms (or pals) are welcome to join their Woodlynde students for a delicious breakfast buffet at Woodlynde School and then attend Morning Assembly.
  • PCA Family Bingo

    A fan favorite, friends and family are welcome to enjoy a fun evening of Bingo, dinner, and many chances to win great prizes.
  • PCA "Where Stars Are Born" Community Celebration

    A new opportunity this year for parents and guardians to celebrate the strong Woodlynde community, the evening will feature an auction and student artwork displays.

    Parents and guardians, students, and teachers are encouraged to participate in the variety of fun, active events during Philly Run Fest!
  • PCA Book Fair

    Welcoming back the Book Fair to encourage students' interest in reading.

    Second Wednesday of every month during the school year
    Woodlynde parent, trustee, and mindfulness coach Marc Balcer leads sessions on Mindfulness to assist parents as they practice hitting the reset button.

Woodlynde School is a private, co-ed college prep day school located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that serves intelligent, talented students with learning differences in grades K - 12. Woodlynde provides a comprehensive, evidence-based Kindergartenelementarymiddle and high school program in a challenging yet nurturing environment for students with average to above average cognitive abilities (IQ) who have language- or math-based learning differences (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia), Executive Function Challenges, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Auditory Processing Disorder. Even for those students without a diagnosed learning disability (LD), Woodlynde offers expert and caring teachers in small classroom settings that support academic success. Woodlynde School also offers a post-graduate (PG) program in partnership with Rosemont College as well as a regional Summer Camp for students who learn differently.
