Tuition & Assistance

Fill out the Tuition Assistance Letter of Intent and return it to the Woodlynde School Admissions Office as soon as possible.

This allows the Office to track all requests by the date received in preparation for Tuition Assistance allocation.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account.

The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available as well as email support at support@claritytuition.com in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.  

If you are eligible and the Tuition Assistance Committee grants Tuition Assistance, your grant will be included in the re-enrollment contract.

Tuition assistance decisions are made by the Tuition Assistance Committee, which is separate from the Admissions Committee.

An application for tuition assistance in no way affects an applicant’s opportunity to be admitted to the school. All tuition assistance decisions are made based on financial need without regard to a student’s race, color, religion, ethnicity, or national origin. Woodlynde School relies upon the truthfulness of the information provided in each application, and families who apply acknowledge their continuing obligation to notify the school if financial circumstances improve.

*Woodlynde School funds its annual tuition assistance awards in part through grants and scholarships provided by outside foundations and will occasionally ask tuition assistance applicants/recipients to submit information to facilitate funding from outside sources.

Woodlynde School's tuition assistance grants are intended to support those enrolled families that have demonstrated need and who have already accessed other outside sources of income and addressed expense savings.

Those income sources include grandparents, other family members, employment of all able-bodied parents, other potential scholarship programs, or a settlement from a school district. Non-educational lifestyle expenses that can also be addressed prior to applying for tuition assistance include ownership of second homes, luxury automobiles, or memberships in private dues-paying clubs. These are the kinds of considerations families should make before applying for tuition assistance. While Woodlynde School is committed to supporting demonstrated need to the extent possible, we also believe that families must bear some of the sacrificial burden in this partnership.
