Arts

Woodlynde Students have traditionally demonstrated great interest and talent in the creative and performing arts.
Through four key areas of focus--journalism, music, performing arts, and visual arts--students have the opportunity not only to further their current abilities, but also to expand their interests and talents into new areas.

Journalism
Woodlynde School boasts an award-winning student newspaper, The Informer. This quarterly publication, created entirely by Upper School students, highlights student voices through reporting, opinion pieces, and creative content while building skills in journalism, collaboration, and storytelling.

Music & Performing Arts
Students are inspired to challenge their limits, build self-confidence, and unite their community in support of their fellow performers. Each Division at Woodlynde stages a drama, comedy, or musical production during the school year. These productions are supplemented by a variety of other performances throughout the year, including concerts and the Annual Talent Show.

Visual Arts
Woodlynde's Visual Arts program offers students a diverse range of creative opportunities, ranging from photography to ceramics sculpture. Through hands-on projects and expert guidance, students explore different mediums, develop their artistic skills, and express their unique perspectives. This program fosters creativity and innovation, providing a solid foundation for aspiring artists.
