I. Request an information packet by calling the Woodlynde Admissions Office at 610.293.6624. Or, you may use our online Admissions Inquiry Form. Please note applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

II. Attend one of our monthly Admissions Open Houses that are held from October through May and in July on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:45 a.m.

III. Submit the results of a psychoeducational evaluation completed within the last two years. This will help the school best determine if we are mutually-appropriate fit for your child. Note: Psychoeducational testing is a requirement for applicants in grades 3-12. FOUNDATIONS K-2 applicants should send documentation of readiness skills.

IV. Submit a complete application, which includes:
  • Application form
  • $100 application fee (non-refundable) - check payable to Woodlynde School
  • Teacher Recommendation Forms
  • Official school transcripts, report cards, progress reports from your child's current school 
  • Complete financial aid paperwork. Learn more.
V. Schedule a school visit.
  • A school visit will enable your child to better understand the Woodlynde experience. It provides us with an informal evaluation of your child's academic, social, and emotional strengths and needs and assists us in making the best decision regarding your child's application.
  • Summer applicants may be encouraged to attend our summer program.

How are decisions made?

The Admissions Committee makes a thorough review of each individual's application to determine if Woodlynde is an appropriate fit for the applicant. Families will be notified in a timely fashion of Admissions decisions.

Woodlynde School is a private, co-ed college prep day school located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that serves intelligent, talented students with learning differences in Grades K - 12. Woodlynde provides a comprehensive, evidence-based Kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school program in a challenging yet nurturing environment for students with average to above average cognitive abilities (IQ) who have language-or math-based learning differences (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia), Executive Function Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Auditory Processing Disorder. Even for those students without a diagnosed learning disability (LD), Woodlynde offers expert and caring teachers in small classroom settings that support academic success. Woodlynde School also offers a post-graduate (PG) program in partnership with Rosemont College as well as a regional Summer Camp for students who learn differently.
