Students riding the train must realize that they represent Woodlynde while going to and from the station, at the station, and on the train. A student taking the train must be especially careful crossing streets and be considerate of fellow students, other pedestrians, neighbors, and drivers on the way to and from the station. Students must cross Upper Gulph Road at the traffic light. Under no circumstances should students walk across the train tracks. All school rules apply at the train station.
Parent Transportation and Carpools
Parents may drop off and pick up their students at the front entrance of the school. For those interested in participating in a parent carpool, please contact Admissions at 610.293.6624 for a list and contact information for parents located within a 5- to 10-mile radius of your home.

  • Students being picked up by parents should promptly report to the main entrance at the front of the school for parent pick-up.
  • Students may not wait in the lobby at dismissal time.
  • Traffic is required to turn right out of the school driveway between 2:45 and 3:15 p.m.
Student Parking/Driving
Driving to Woodlynde School is considered a privilege. All students must park in a designated student area. Seniors may park on campus with the permission of the dean of students. Underclassmen may drive to school and park in the lot located below the Tredyffrin Library on Upper Gulph Road located several blocks from school. Failure to follow the rules associated with driving can result in the suspension of driving privileges. Reckless driving will result in the loss of a student's driving privileges. Students must register their cars on the Woodlynde website at the start of the school year. Parking permits will be distributed and must be displayed on vehicles. Students who park in the rear lot may not leave until all school buses have left.
