Lower School

Dear Woodlynde Lower School Families,

As you know, we decided to use the parent-teacher conference time for colleagues to reflect, collaborate, and prepare for a distance learning program. Each teacher has the flexibility to put together the framework that best meets the needs of their students while also including all of the elements of instruction and at least one direct contact time planned next week between teachers, students, and parents.

Here is what you can expect for next week:

• On Monday, each classroom teacher will email the parents their plan for the week. This email will include grade-specific student assignments in each core content area as well as activities for music, art, physical education, guidance and STEAM classes.

• Daily email check-ins from your classroom teacher.

• If your child receives speech therapy, expect to hear from Mrs. Osborne or Mrs. Evak via email.

Please encourage your child to work independently as much as possible on these assignments, and support them when needed. The assignments reinforce course content. Please refer to your child’s classroom teacher to submit assignments.

If you have difficulty with the technology of learning, you may call the Technology Hotline number, 610-293-6766 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day Monday through Friday. They will be monitoring email as well for any issues.

You can email our technology team at jacoby@woodlynde.org or alsonod@woodlydne.org.
Please contact me or Mr. Prontnicki, prontnicki@woodlynde.org, via email should you have any questions or concerns at any time.

Thank you and take care,
Elizabeth
