Woodlynde School Appoints New Board Member

Woodlynde School is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Malecki, Jr. to its Board of Trustees.
An experienced professional in the finance/accounting industry, Malecki has served as the director of finance for several local non-profits in the Philadelphia region and is currently the director of finance and accounting for the Utility Emergency Services Fund.  With an undergraduate degree in accounting from Albright College and an MBA from LaSalle University, Malecki also serves as an adjunct professor in LaSalle University’s School of Business. His years of volunteer experience includes board service for Middle Atlantic Swimming, the Suburban Swim Club, the Country Club Swim Association, and Philadelphia Country Club, and Malecki was a participating member of the School Reimaging Committee for The Diocese of Camden. At Woodlynde School, Malecki has served as a Parent Ambassador and member of the Search Committee for Woodlynde’s next head of school, and he is also the parent of a Woodlynde student, class of 2020.

Woodlynde provides a comprehensive, evidence-based Kindergartenelementarymiddle and high school program in a challenging yet nurturing environment for students with average to above average cognitive abilities (IQ) who have language- or math-based learning differences (such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia), Executive Function Challenges, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Auditory Processing Disorder. Even for those students without a diagnosed learning disability (LD), Woodlynde offers expert and caring teachers in small classroom settings that support academic success. Woodlynde School also offers a post-graduate (PG) program in partnership with Rosemont College as well as a regional Summer Camp for students who learn differently.
