Varsity Girls Basketball player Tori Bruckner has been playing ball for almost five years.
“I love sports, I try to participate in them even if they are not my best sport, and I want to be active,” the junior said recently.
According to her teammates, Jordyn Culler and Julia Plousis, Tori is a driven teammate and a great defensive player. “I think she is a really good basketball player, and has a good commitment [to] being on the team,” Jordyn said. Having a goal to try her best and win is one of Tori’s favorite parts about the sport. Her position is power forward, and playing defense is her specialty. “I love defense and I love being with the team and working together,” she said.
When asked how well the season would go for her and the team, Tori responded with, “good. I’m really excited and happy to be with my team and I think we will excel.”
So far this season, Tori’s favorite part is practice and the drills that the team does. During her free time, Tori enjoys going to the gym, pet sitting and babysitting. Other than playing basketball, she also plays volleyball in the fall.
At the end of eighth grade, Tori left Woodlynde, and she returned this fall for her junior year. Tori is glad to be back at Woodlynde and is happy to be a part of such a hard working basketball team.
