Student Trips

Trips Offer Opportunities for Growth & Exploration

UPCOMING TRIPS:
SCOTLAND — March 2023

Through Woodlynde's L.E.A.D. Student Life Program, we offer a variety of day and overnight trips to our students with the opportunity to travel locally, nationally, and internationally. By giving our students the opportunity to travel, we are helping to widen their view of our world. Being immersed in these cultures, our students are gaining knowledge, stepping outside of their comfort zones, and growing as individuals. We believe these trips help prepare our students for college, career, and life.

In the past, Woodlynde students traveled to many places including Ireland, Costa Rica, the Grand Canyon and Disney.

During the trip to Ireland, Woodlynde travelers had the opportunity to walk around cities like Galway and Dublin, learn the rules of Hurling (Ireland's national sport), and visit historic sites, like Cliffs of Moher and New Grange.

While in Costa Rica, our students experienced the many things that the culture has to offer, including visiting coffee and chocolate plantations, boating through the canals of Tortuguero, kayaking on Lake Arenal, walking across hanging bridges in the jungle, and zip-lining through the cloud forest in Monteverde.

While visiting the Grand Canyon students discovered the natural beauty and wonder of the American Southwest. They traveled to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and hiked the South Rim where they watched the sun set over the spectacular Grand Canyon.

RECENT TRIPS:

Grand Canyon — February 2020
