Our son, who once hated school, is now making plans to go to college.

Our son was doing okay academically at his last school. However, he was not being challenged, and his weaknesses were not being addressed. This contributed to him being bored and hating school. He was also late with some assignments and was not really performing at the level we knew he could. He was not motivated, and it showed in his school work. When I picked him up from school, he was exhausted. Additionally, he never wanted to participate in after-school activities.

When our son first started at Woodlynde, he was a little nervous, feeling unsure if he could meet the pace of his new school. He quickly realized that he was in a good school and felt like he could do well. For the first time, he was happy and had energy when I picked him up from school. When asked about the school, his response was something like, "I had an excellent day," and he would talk about it. He likes his teachers. He is staying on top of his assignments and doing great academically! When I met with teachers during conferences, I was ecstatic to hear how well he was doing. It was also so wonderful to hear that teachers were really getting to know our son - he wasn't just another student. Not only is he performing well, but he is engaging in extra-curricular activities!! And, our son who once hated school, is now making plans to go to college.

We are grateful to the staff and faculty of Woodlynde School. It means so much that our son is in such a caring, supportive and nurturing school. Both my husband and I are breathing easier knowing he is in the excellent hands of the Woodlynde family.
