Psychoeducational Evaluation
Psychoeducational Evaluation – a psychological and educational evaluation, typically conducted within the school setting, to determine if a school-age student meets one of the thirteen disability classifications under IDEA (2004). The evaluation is used in order to determine if a student meets eligibility criteria and is in need of Specially Designed Instruction (Special Education). A Psychoeducational Evaluation will typically include a classroom observation of the student, measures of an student’s cognitive functioning, academic achievement, and social/emotional/behavioral development.
