School Counselors
To help guide students toward a more balanced approach to their learning, their peer relationships, and the world, Woodlynde School employs two full-time school counselors with expertise in the grades to which they are focused. Because some students coming to Woodlynde have been bullied or ridiculed in their past educational environments, regular classes with school counselors are a part of the curriculum to facilitate a culture of respect and care for oneself and others. Woodlynde School bases its approach on the Responsive Classroom method to building classroom community. Our school counselors can also work with students to address individual needs in school on a proactive, immediate, and longer-term basis.
