Hydro Flasks Help the Environment and with Hydration
Hydro Flasks are a new fad among many students and adults to stay hydrated and help minimize plastic waste in the oceans.

The average adult should drink at least 64 ounces of water per day, according to Medical Daily. However, many Americans typically do not reach their minimum water intake each day, which can lead to dehydration. Over 75% of Americans are dehydrated each day, according to Medical Daily.
Many Americans use plastic water bottles to stay hydrated out of convenience. However, nowadays, people are pushing for reusable water bottles, instead, to save our Earth from more plastic. According to the Container Recycling Institute, over 22 billion plastic water bottles end up in landfills each year in America.
Hydro Flasks are a new fad among many students and adults to help minimize plastic waste in the oceans. Hydro Flasks are great because they use a type of metal called TempShield, which keeps your beverage or food either hot for up to six hours or cold for up to twenty-four hours.
Freshman Ava LaVoe likes her Hydro Flask “because it’s easy to drink from and it keeps my water cold. I also love the bright colors and decorating it with stickers.”
I’ve had my Hydro Flask for over two years and it is holding up tremendously. I use it to carry my water and keep it cold throughout the day, and I absolutely love it.
Senior Joe Tate said he enjoys his Hydro Flask, as well, because, “They are colorful and they can keep my ice cream cold.”
Hydro Flask water bottles can range from $30 to $60 each. They can be purchased online, as well as at camping stores and local shops.
